Adventure Play Fair Guidelines

These guidelines apply to the use of Adventure Play Fair
By purchasing a ticket and entry to Adventure Play Fair, you agree to comply with these guidelines.

Adventure Play Fair Guidelines

  • All supervising adults accept full responsibility for the supervision of their children whilst at Adventure Play Fair and acknowledge that they have a duty of care to all children that they are supervising
  • All visitors must behave with respect towards other visitors and members of the Adventure Play Fair team
  • The Adventure Play Fair team are there to enhance the experience of your child(ren) but are unable to provide physical assistance and are not responsible for the supervision and behaviour of child(ren)
  • A supervising adult must inform a member of the Adventure Play Fair team if a member of their party has an accident or sustains an injury
  • Adults should consider their own, and that of their child(ren)’s capabilities, existing injuries, health conditions, height and weight when making decisions about what play equipment or feature the child(ren) use. All visitors must adhere to age and height restrictions.
  • Adventure Play Fair is a smoke free facility and smoking (including vaping and e-cigarettes) is prohibited anywhere on site at Thursford, except in the designated smoking area.
  • Food or drinks are not permitted to be taken onto the play equipment.
  • The only food and drink permitted to be consumed in the Adventure Play Fair is that purchased form the kiosk.
  • Clothing:
    • All jewellery, watches, glasses (unless worn with a tether and shatter-proof lenses) and other loose items should be removed.
    • Swim nappies must be worn by children that are not toilet trained for the Play Fountain. For public hygiene reasons, non-swim nappies are prohibited.
    • Suitable clothing must always be worn by children, including for the play fountain area. Thursford do not provide towels, however towels may be purchased at the ticket office.
    • Children must always wear suitable footwear in both the dry play and play fountain areas.
    • Use of water shoes or boots is strongly recommended, as the surrounds of the water play area may be slippery when wet.
    • Children must not run or jump in the play fountain area.
    • Hands, shoes and boots should be washed prior to entering the play fountain area.
    • Food and drink are not to be taken into the water play area.
    • We strongly recommend the use of appropriate sun protection including protective clothing.
  • No buggies are to be brought into the play fountain area.
  • Please do not litter, bins are provided for the disposal of rubbish.
  • Unless stated otherwise, only one (1) person is permitted to ride the slides at a time. When using the slide, you must slide feet first with elbows tucked in. You should not wait or play at the bottom of the slides
  • All visitors must dress appropriately for the prevailing weather and wear secure footwear
  • Do not throw or drop any items that could cause injury or disruption to visitors
